The Music of Benjamin N Brody

BIOGRAPHY

Benjamin N. Brody (b. 2002) is a nationally performed composer, pursuing his masters degree at Appalachian State University. His music has been performed by ensembles such as the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Wind Symphony, The University of Akron Wind Symphony and Symphony, The Ohio State University Middle School Concert Band Academy as well various middle schools, high schools and chamber ensembles in Ohio. Music of Brody’s has been selected to be performed at various conferences, such as Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conferences and the Mid West Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference. Brody has also received accolades such as being named a finalist for the 2025 American Prize in Wind Ensemble/Band Composition and was selected for the 2023 Cleveland Chamber Symphony Young & Emerging Composers Concert. Brody recently graduated summa cum laude from The University of Akron, receiving his bachelor’s degree in music composition. Brody has studied composition with Robert Brownlow, James Wilding, Nicole Piunno and Roger Zare. When not composing, Brody enjoys watching classic movies and hiking.
